ABOUT KRISTA

For 30 years, I was the editorial director at a respected city magazine (Sacramento Magazine), until the owners abruptly ceased its publication in July 2023. In that role, I did it all: planning, writing, editing, proofreading, and lots more, for numerous titles. I also created a niche for myself writing travel, covering California from north to south, coast to Sierra. Additionally, I've written and published fiction, non-fiction and essays, attended writing conferences (Community of Writers and Lit Camp), and written with students in classrooms around the Sacramento region. I'm an experienced copyeditor and proofreader, and specialize in polishing other writers' works for publication. I live in Folsom—about half an hour from Sacramento—with my husband and black cat. When I'm not writing, I'm cooking, drinking coffee with my grown daughters, hiking the shores of nearby Folsom Lake, and thinking about going to the gym.
